Our History
Hi-Mark Construction Group is an outgrowth of a 50 year old family business founded in 1957 by Yudell Hightower. In 1979, Stephen L. Hightower (Yudell Hightower’s son), established a construction firm. In 1983, the family Janitorial Business was sold. Yudell and Stephen concentrated their efforts to the expansion and growth of the Construction Company. In 1991, Hi-Mark Construction Group was incorporated transitioning from a union contractor to a non-union contractor.
The company’s thrust was expansion of Construction Management in the private sector while pursuing State and Federal Contracting and Design Build projects. HMCG’s management staff has a history of success over the years increasing its experience and capabilities, by successfully acquiring and performing projects for commercial, industrial, state, and federal markets.
Today HMCG continues to grow and expand it’s markets. During our history we have built a strong team of employees, suppliers, contractors and partnerships capable of meeting your construction needs.
